What?!!! Have we lost our marbles? No...nor our merles! Twas this evening when giving Bleu her nightly comb-out that I saw her stained pantaloons & thought: "Oh Dear Lord!" (& other things...). 

Having just packed the last of my birthing kit away for the season, having ordered/reserved 15 Faverolles chicks to hatch & raise in the fall,...& having crate-trained the kitchen dwellers as of TODAY...(this is their first night in big-dog Impact crates) it's only right, proper & wholly appropriate that the Dog Gods would throw this at us!

Game on.

Within the next week, Bleu & Posse will be bred! Please see their testing & ask yourself if you can deny yourself such brilliance!

Holiday puppies! At least our roof will be on....(maybe)...

It's amazing, the things we see on the Yaquina Bay...(& in it)...I wondered, as I sat sipping my coffee this morning & watching this guy at low-tide, who/what spooked him...or is he just a swimmy guy (like the Collie pups!)?

 He was nervy & offended at my observation...he leapt into the water, briefly embodying the brilliant White Stag logo...(in silhouette)...& then, returned to his marshland. Knee-deep in quicksand on the other side & tarying briefly at some greenery...

What say you of Jack In The Pulpit? I find his head & structure astonishing! Gorgeous! His less-flashy brother "OMG" claimed me though...& we cannot keep them all...or can we?

This week: perhaps the roof will begin being slapped on...I don't know...all of the stars, moods & biorhythms seem to need to be perfectly aligned before anyone can do anything...but, alas.

This week, I plant the 7 hardy fuchsias that arrive from Dancing Oaks Nursery in Monmouth! Yayyyy. And then, we await the testing from Vinca & Fox...(DMS & PRA2)...leash work has begun & shall continue with the puppies...& mostly, I'll merely be abating the effects of the heat dome....

We received Sandy's results today & are quite thrilled with his level of health!
Several Collie breeders have connected with me regarding Sandy's 2 lowercase c results in his DMS testing...highly unusual (& GREAT)...is he the first Collie with 2 teeny c's? 
DMS is certainly something we don't need in the Collie realm...breeding away from it is required! The Shetland Sheepdog Association has a great wealth of info on DMS...click here to teleport there.

In other news, we're simply relaxing & enjoying our puppies while we choreograph the final phases of our roofing project in conjunction with the weather & all of the various sub-contractors involved. Tis a dance. 
Also, we just sent DMS & PRA testing out on Vinca & Fox...& are looking forward to seeing their DMS scores! We await Sandy's full Collie panel & DMS, HUU testing (which should be available next week)...
