"Out of our smallish puppy paddock & into a larger exercise area! We hate it! She will return us to the kitchen in 30 minutes or-so...so, we're cool...."

Goodbye & farewell to my favourite designer...the brilliant & fierce Dame Vivienne Westwood...who inspired even Pugs to dress as cool rocker chicks...
It's been cray-cray with the weather...& trying to give our dogs ample exercise...as they ALL live inside of our home & occupy our main living area...it's been wild! Groom, do laundry, rinse bowls, play with puppies, drink coffee, discuss the weather...repeat. The puppies went outside today for the first time in eons...& as an aside, I met a printing deadline in relation to my Go In Beauty cards...yayyyy...(see pics...they represent only a handful of my creations)...after I proof them, they'll be available at my Etsy shop which I opened years ago & then closed almost immediately because I was not into the platform at all (but, it may be ideal for art cards) & also available on my website Go In Beauty. A percentage of profits for 2023 are going tooooooo.....(drumroll.....).... I Paw'd It Forward I love this organisation! & we are totally thrilled to paw it forward ourselves. Life is fragile & Paw It Forward supports our regional community very sweetly & with all positivity. Pi, I miss your comedic & charming demeanor already! Mostly though, I'll miss your snuggies (& the way you cock your head from side-to-side when I converse with you)... When I commenced to look for a new Gunner crate review...I found a cool comparison of the only 2 crates we use...(Gunner & Impact). Gunner is THE ONLY crate we transport our dogs in. We have a large Gunner & it is huge, heavy, unwieldy & yes, it is the Rolls Royce of transport crates. We fill a wading pool with bedding pellets, surround it with an ex-pen & use that potty set-up as our sole potty-stop option. We never let the pups touch the ground. In our opinion, nothing is more stable & safe than a Gunner... We have the large one...unfortunately, our Anatolians do not fit in it...but, they're homebodies anyway! More sizing info... I've given a great deal of thought to boy-pup placement & pricing...because last night, I learned that my desired surgery-date for hernia repairs won't work! That, in fact, the puppies must be 16 weeks or older for their surgeries!!!!! ARRRGGGHHHH! February? YES. February 16th, to be exact. I respect my veterinary team very much. They're the folks who have our backs...therefore, out-sourcing hernia surgeries is not something I'd do. So, Strider, Prob & Cap will be scheduled for Feb. surgeries...I will certainly hope that they find homes before then...folks who are willing to wait & have the hernia repair performed at the time of neuter/vasectomy....(which is how its done)... I will continue advertising them with their original pricing...those who actually arrive at my site, can read & re-read...& if amenable to handling your own hernia repair at-time-of-neuter, can receive a deeply discounted boy-pup: here is the pricing: Prob: $650.00; Cap: $650.00 Strider: $750.00 I'll stay with my vet's opinion that Pirate is not someone she'd repair... Predation is such a difficult issue...particularly in the NW...I was devastated recently, to lose our older flock of chickens...& I have spent a month on the game cam attempting to ID the perp....I may never know! Minute blood on the backs of their heads, no broken bones, no feathers strewn...just a flock of dead chickens murdered sometime between 11 AM & 2 PM...all facing in one direction, as if they were fleeing someone... Weasel? Coon? Bobcat? I don't have a clue...I'm on pins & needles just having my crew of September hatch rare-breeds out & about. I have come to know that we need full-time LGDs on that end of the property. Hence, our plan to breed an Anatolian litter in the spring of 2023...If you're interested in a truly primitive & spectacular LGD from the finest bloodlines out there...please visit our Anatolian site & review our dog's testing...these are working dogs & have the aloof, problem-solving nature of serious beasts... This means that we will have 1 Collie litter next year. All AAA genetics. Back to my poultry (& Hector the Nubian king)...here they are today.... His christian name is "Doctor Bombay"...we call him "Pirate".. Perfect little Pirate has perfect DNA...he is MDR1-Clear; DM-Clear; PRA-Rod-cone Dysplasia 2-Clear; CEA-Clear... He is available to perfect peeps, without breeding rights for $2000.00...or, for $6000.00 with full breeding rights. |
