These plump little darlings are toddling around now...a couple of them are gifted climbers, ascending Bleu's haunches as if she were K2...tis hard to imagine that in 1 week they'll be lapping up gruel! Embark testing has been ordered & should arrive on Monday! Fun! Were you wondering about the etymology about the word "merle"? Its curious, as the word merle means "blackbird" & descends from the Latin "Merula"... Is the merle actually merellé? (checkered/variegated from the Middle French). I think, yes.
